Job Summary:
This role is a people management position and should be able to manage complexity, plan and align work to meet goals, direct work, optimize work process, attract and develop talent as well as have self-awareness. The key responsibility is to develop the engineering team and new product/suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cascade the company goals into team goals and individual goals, develop project plan and provide sufficient support to meet the goals;
- Identify the high-performance employees as the succession plan for supervisor or manager and provide sufficient support to help for their development;
- Lead the key engineering related projects for companywide or high-risky product development projects, and deliver the good result;
- Support teammates to make sure their projects/tasks run smoothly without negative impact to business. The key team work scope include following areas:
- Develop new products from launching until mass production qualification, including but not limited to supplier qualification assessment, sample review, testing, and validation and verification.
- Interface with suppliers, advising them in all aspects of the products quality and any chance of improvement.
- Implement designer transfer to suppliers and internal stakeholders such as supplier quality engineering and inspector.
- Handle change control related to product development according to Medline internal procedure and make sure compliance and effectiveness.
- Provide solution and handle quality issues related to product develop.
- Implement process and product vigilance audit according to aligned schedule.
- Keep continuous improvement for products and product development process.
Monitor team work, summarize and present in a way easy to understand, and make adjustment and support when necessary. - Other work assigned by manager and as the backup for manager.
Qualifications:
- Education level: Bachelor degree or above, from engineering/ or R&D or related.
- Working experience: At least 8 years working experiences in quality and engineering areas, 3 years in people management role; experience in medical device and supplier development, and project management;
- Specific knowledge and requirements: Be familiar with ISO13485 requirements and quality management tools, be able to handle multiple tasks/projects in the same time, be team player, and be able to travel according to business needs (>50%).
- Language: good at English especially verbal English
- Plan and align work: plan and prioritize work;
- Direct work: to provide direction, delegate, remove obstacle to get team work done
- Optimize work process;
- Have high sense of urgency and build good relationship with others;
- Good at presentation in English.
