The lead role manages project requests, develops project schedules, determines, and assigns resources, oversees output, and provides operational direction to the creative team as needed. This role is responsible for managing the creation of brand assets, marketing materials, graphic visuals, templates, and digital and video content for the university. Locally the role reports directly to the Creative and Production Manager with a global reporting line to the Assistant Director, Global Content Marketing & Creative in Melbourne, Australia. Key Accountabilities
  • Receive project briefs and creative direction from RMIT Melbourne (Marketing Squads) and be the key liaison between Melbourne Marketing Squads/ stakeholders, GCMC, and the creative team in Vietnam.
  • Coordinate the collection, organization and management of all written copy, visual and digital assets.
  • Traffic work via workflow management systems and organize assets
  • Work closely with Assistant Director and Account Manager to ensure workload and deadlines.
  • Lead and manage the Creative Services Team to ensure a quality level of service is provided to all key stakeholders.
  • Manage the teams workflow, project schedules to ensure that all key deliverables are met.
  • Promote correct use and treatment of brand assets across the team.
  • Ensure all layouts, proofs and artwork requirements deliver on the creative brief and expectations.
  • Liaise with production vendors on production or printing specifications as required.
  • Coordinate status/project update meetings as required.
  • Lead creative direction for campaigns as required.
  • Respond/troubleshoot ad-hoc marketing and creative briefs.
  • Promote and foster a healthy and positive energy within the Creative Team.
  • Responsibilities for onboarding and mentoring junior staff in design quality and work culture.
  • Conduct end-of-campaign retrospectives, covering visuals and reporting on successes, challenges, and blockers.
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
  • At least three years of experience in a role involving project coordination/project management.
  • Proven experience in effective people management.
  • Excellent client and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Ability to project coordinate across geographical locations.
  • Ability to motivate and motivate staff to meet key business deliverables.
  • Proven planning, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven interpersonal, negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and deliver against multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with content production process.
  • Knowledge and ability to use different design platforms such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects.
English Proficiency English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (General) score of at least 6.5 (or equivalent, as outlined in the Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Guidelines). For any role, English Language Proficiency may also be proven by showing successful completion of secondary education to a level qualifying to enter university study while being instructed through the medium of English, as per the RMIT University recognised qualification list.
