Expectations of the Position

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in leading and managing the hiring of top talent from around the world to support our client institutions through our Program Office service. The successful candidate will be accountable for managing the recruitment process, building relationships, and ensuring a strong pipeline of qualified candidates in the international education sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Driving the end-to-end talent acquisition process for our Program Office (in-country staffing) service.
  • Creating and implementing talent acquisition strategies for all levels and types of in-country staff.
  • Designing and driving the adoption of consistent recruiting, interviewing, and hiring practices that support a strong candidate experience.
  • Work with team members to track, report on, and plan for ongoing hiring needs of the business.
  • Identifying and managing third-party agencies, recruitment platforms, or headhunters when needed to ensure hiring needs are met.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of various talent acquisition websites in each delivery market to influence future hiring strategies.
  • Defining and driving the team to meet and exceed hiring benchmarks relating to time to hire, cost per hire, and hiring manager and candidate satisfaction.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging recruitment technologies, incorporating innovative approaches into our talent acquisition efforts.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance throughout the recruitment process.
  • Working with relevant members of Groks management team to support the development of a global talent pool.
  • Collaborating with regional HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  • Provide ad hoc talent acquisition support to departments outside of the Program Office, as required.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure alignment of compensation offers with market benchmarks and internal equity.
  • Analyze industry trends and salary data to provide informed recommendations on competitive compensation packages to the central HR function and service head.

  • You have proven experience in talent acquisition and recruitment, with a track record of success in increasingly senior roles.
  • You have proven experience in setting a strategic vision for talent acquisition and executing it.
  • You have expertise in talent sourcing, attracting top-tier candidates, and developing a strong talent pipeline.

Desired:

  • Past experience with talent acquisition across multiple countries across Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
  • Past professional experience in the higher education sector, with a focus on hiring for marketing or student engagement positions.
  • You have completed your studies abroad or have other significant cross-cultural experiences.
