Currently, we are seeking an experienced Team Leader - Fitness to join Park Hyatt Saigon to join and continue with us in our significant journey.

Main Duties

Customer Service

• Provides the appropriate level of professional, courteous and caring service to other employees (internal customers) and other visitors to the division.

• Ensures all employees provide a courteous and professional service at all times.

• Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.

• Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Operational

• Responsible for maintenance/safety in fitness centre and supervising exercise programme for members and guests.

• Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform at all times.

• Conducts fitness sessions for members and guests in accordance with the activity schedule.

• Works in close coordination with the Assistant Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the fitness centre.

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, cleanliness and safety in the fitness centre.

• Responsible for teaching any scheduled exercise classes that have been arranged for the guests.

• Ensures that members and guests use the fitness centre wearing the correct attire.

• Conducts a daily check of all exercise equipment and records the repairs that are necessary as required by policy and procedures.

• Ensures that there is always a minimum of one instructor on duty on the gymnasium floor at all times.

• Maintains close contact with guests/members and communicates feedback from them regarding the operation to the Assistant Manager as required.

• Conducts fitness sessions for members and guests on a regular basis with regards to the standards required.

Operational (continued)

• Conducts personal training referencing guidelines under Policy and Procedure.

• Conducts fitness centre activities.

Personnel

Supports the implementation of The People Philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatts Values and Culture Characteristics.

Other Duties

• Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

• Responds to changes in the Fitness Centre as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.

• Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel management team and Hyatt International.

• Reads the hotels Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotels rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.

• Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.

• Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ideally the candidate should have a degree or diploma in hospitality management.

• Minimum 2 years work experience as Team Leader Fitness or 3 years as Fitness Attendant.

• Experience in Hospitality is a plus

• English fluently.

• Long term commitment

• Have a complete understanding of food safety standards/ procedures.

- Experience in 5 stars Hotel - Team Leader - Fitness is a plus.
