JOB SUMMARY:

Bureau Veritas Vietnam is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Civil Engineer Intern to join our Buildings & Infrastructure (B&I) Department. This internship is designed for fresh graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the civil engineering field. The intern will assist with various engineering tasks, contributing to the design, analysis, and implementation of infrastructure projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a real-world setting and develop professional skills within a leading global organization. Our job performance is within the framework of the BV Assurance Quality System, QHSE policy, Code of Ethics, and BV Groups policies and procedures.

TASKS – ACTIVITIES – RESPONSIBILITIES

§Support Design and Analysis: Assist in the development and review of civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for building and infrastructure projects.

§Site Inspections and Surveys: Participate in on-site inspections, surveys, and assessments to collect data, ensure project compliance, and monitor construction progress.

§Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and presentations based on project findings and analysis, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

§Project Coordination: Aid in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.

§Technical Research: Conduct research on materials, construction methods, and industry standards to support project development and innovation.

§Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.

REQUIREMENTS

§Education: Recent graduate with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

§Technical Skills: Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and structural analysis. Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro) is advantageous.

§Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze technical data and develop practical solutions.

§Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese.

§Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate with colleagues and clients.

§Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

§Adaptability: Willingness to learn, adapt to new challenges, and take initiative.

§Proficiency in the office computer.

§Internship Experience: Previous internship experience in civil engineering or construction projects is a plus.

§Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in civil engineering practices and standards are beneficial.
